Revision date: November 10, 2024

This returns policy outlines the procedures and requirements for returns, damages, and freight issues related to orders placed with Brightside Supply, LLC ("Brightside").

For Problems with Your Order

Please contact your Brightside Representative in the event of any of the following issues:

Merchandise Issue

Items that need to be returned or credited require prior authorization from Brightside and are subject to the following conditions:

  • Special order (non-stock) and custom merchandise cannot be returned unless defective.
  • Items returned due to customer error in ordering or handling will incur a restocking fee and freight charges.
  • No returns will be accepted after 30 days from the invoice date.
  • Please contact your Brightside Representative to obtain return authorization.
Freight Issues (Common Carrier)

All goods are carefully counted and checked before being shipped, and every effort is made to avoid errors. This shipment was delivered to the transportation company in good condition. If you notice any issues such as shortages, damages, or discrepancies, please follow the guidelines below:

  • Ensure the number of packages received matches the Freight and/or Bill of Lading.
  • Confirm that the contents of the shipment align with the Packing Slip.
  • If the shipment was signed as "bad order," note any discrepancies with the carrier.
  • Examine packages for any signs of tampering or damage during transit.
  • Double-check the packing materials to ensure that all items have been received.
Damages

If your shipment arrives in a visibly damaged condition, please make a detailed note of the damage on the freight bill at the time of delivery. Immediately contact your Brightside Representative for assistance with disposition and credit.

Concealed Damage

If damage is discovered only after the goods are unpacked, report it immediately to the transportation company for an inspection and to obtain a concealed loss or damage notation. This must also be reported to Brightside within 48 hours of the delivery date. Claims reported beyond 48 hours will not be honored. For U.P.S. shipments, damages must be reported to Brightside within 15 days of delivery.

Recourse

Properly filed claims can result in full recovery for damages from the transportation company. In case of damages or shortages:

  • Contact your Brightside Representative with a full description of the damage or shortage, along with the details noted on the carrier's receipt.
  • Retain the original box and packing materials for the claims process.

We will do our best to assist our customers in tracing and recovering lost goods, as well as collecting valid claims. In return, we ask for our customers' cooperation in handling their accounts while claims are pending.

All claims for freight shortages and damages must be reported to Brightside within 48 hours of receipt of merchandise. For additional information, rma@brightsidesupply.com, call 678-263-4295 Ext. 4 or ask for the Transportation Department.
